About Department

For test the welfare of backward classes, Backward Class Department has been established in 1995. At present, under this department, Backward Classes Welfare Directorate, Uttar Pradesh Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation and State Backward Classes Commission are established.

Important Scheme

1.Scholarship (Prematric & Postmatric)

1. Prematric Scholarship (Class 9th & 10th):

(a)-In this Rs. 2250.00 is given  per student.

(b)-The annual income of guardian of students should be less than Rs.200000.00

1. Postmatric Scholarship (Class 11th & 12th)

(a)- In this Rs. 2760.00 is given per student.

(b)-Rs.530.00 is given per student as Fee reimbursement.

1. Postmatric Scholarship (Degree Colleges and others)

(a)- For B.A, B.Sc. B.com students  Rs. 3600.00 as  scholarship is given per student at the rate of Rs. 300.00/month.

(b)- For B.A, B.Sc. B.com students  Rs. 5000.00 , for M.A. Rs. 6000.00 , for B.ed Rs. 30000.00 and for BTC students Rs. 36000.00  is given per student for Fee reimbursement.

(c) For Polytechnic students Rs. 1840.00 as scholarship and for Fee reimbursement is Rs. 20000.00 is given per student.

(d) For ITI students Rs. 480.00 as  scholarship and Rs. 18000.00 for Fee reimbursement is given per student.

(e) For ANM and GNM students Rs. 3600.00 as scholarship and Rs. 20000.00 for Fee reimbursement is given per student.

2. Marriage Grant

In this scheme Rs. 20000.00 is given as grant to beneficiary. In one year maximum two girls could be granted for this facility.

some documents need to for marriage grant as given below.

(a) One photo of guardian and girl.

(b) Caste Certificate

(c) Income Certificate (Annual income should not greater than Rs. 46080.00 for rural area and Rs. 56460.00 for urban area.

(d) Adhar Card

(e) Birth Certificate of girl (should not be less than 18 years)

(f) Photocopy of Bank Passbook of Guardian.
